A guest is someone who visits your group but is not a member yet, or anyone your members want to track, such as a lead. Groups add guests so they can follow up, credit the member who invited them, and send them referrals and 1-to-1s.
You can add a guest in three ways:
The fields are:
Each guest belongs to a group. A group cannot have two guests with the same e-mail; if you try, you see "Guest already exists." Update the existing guest instead.
To add a photo, edit the guest and use Image (JPG or PNG). Remove deletes the photo.
Click a guest's name to open their page. From there you can Edit, Update Attendance, Delete, and add Comments. Comments work like notes in a CRM, so the whole group can see how follow-up is going.
The page also lists the meetings the guest attended and who invited them each time.
On the group's Guests page you can select guests and choose Send E-mail to e-mail them.
If a guest attended one of your meetings, open the guest's page and click Update Attendance. Select the meeting and, optionally, the member who invited the guest to that meeting. You can also do this from the meeting page or with Add Guest Attendance in the Quick menu (the grid icon in the top header). See Meetings.
{info} Members get credit both for inviting a guest the first time and for later visits by the same guest. The group Activity Report counts a guest once, for the member who first invited them. The organization Guest Report also counts repeat visits.
When a guest decides to join, invite them as a member from your group's Members > Add New page. Under Add existing people you can pick from your group's guests, so you do not have to type their details again. Once they accept, their guest history stays connected to them. See Members.
