Revenue is the amount of business a referral turned into. ChamberForge uses it for the Revenue Earned and Revenue Generated figures on dashboards and in the revenue reports.
{info} Earlier versions of ChamberForge had a separate "Business Closed" screen with an Add New form. That screen has been retired. Business closed is now recorded by marking a referral Won and adding revenue to it, as described below.
Revenue is always attached to a referral, and it is recorded by the person who received the referral. There are three ways to record it:
Open the referral and choose Menu > Add Revenue. This option is only shown when the referral is Won.
You can add as many revenue entries to one referral as you need. Each entry appears in the referral's History.
{warning} If a referral is changed from Won to Lost or back to Created, all revenue recorded on it is deleted.
Some referrals turn into a monthly retainer or subscription. Instead of adding the same amount every month, tick Repeat monthly when you report Won or add revenue. The same amount is then reported again on the same day of every month until you stop it.
Tick Make amount private if you do not want others to see a specific amount. Other people cannot see that amount, but it is still included in aggregated totals such as group dashboards, your own performance numbers and the revenue reports.
Revenue on a private referral is private by default.
Revenues in the left menu lists all revenue you have recorded, with the Date, Referral From, Lead and Amount. From here you can edit an entry or select several and delete them.
These figures appear on dashboards and reports:
Group dashboards show these figures for the last 12 months. See Reporting for detailed revenue reports.
