When we launched Give a Coffee, the idea was simple: a low-friction way to say thank you to someone who sent business your way. The response has been great. People are using it, referral relationships are being recognized, and the coffee is getting through.

But we heard one consistent hesitation: what if the recipient never sets up their Stripe account?

It's a fair concern. You want to show appreciation, not have your money sit in limbo forever. So we built a straightforward answer to that.

The 60-Day Refund Policy

Starting now, every coffee purchase comes with an automatic refund guarantee. If the recipient doesn't claim their coffee — meaning they haven't linked a Stripe account to collect the funds — within 60 days, the full purchase amount is automatically returned to you.

No support ticket. No waiting on a response. It just happens.

This means there's zero risk in sending a coffee. If your contact sets up their account and claims it, great — they get the recognition they deserve. If they never do, your money comes back to you automatically after 60 days.

Why This Matters

Referrals are the lifeblood of chamber networking. The whole point of Give a Coffee is to close the loop on those relationships — to make recognition feel real and tangible rather than just a quick "thanks" in passing.

The 60-day window gives recipients plenty of time to get set up. It takes less than five minutes to create a Stripe account and link it to their ChamberForge profile. The email notification they receive walks them through the exact steps.

But if it never happens, you're covered.

A Quick Recap of How It Works

For those new to the feature:

• After a referral converts to real business, you'll be prompted to send a coffee
• Choose between one and five cups ($5 to $25)
• The recipient is notified by email and prompted to connect their Stripe account
• Once connected, the funds transfer automatically
• If they don't claim within 60 days, you receive a full refund — no action needed on your part

Transaction fees still apply at the time of purchase ($0.50 to $2.50 depending on quantity), but the principal amount is fully refunded if unclaimed.

The refund policy removes the last reason to hold back. If someone sent you a referral that turned into real business, they earned a thank-you. Send the coffee. If they collect it, the relationship gets stronger. If they don't, it cost you nothing.
