On October 6, 2026, ChamberForge is removing the double counting method for 1-to-1 meetings. From then on, every group will use the single counting method.
What's changing
At the moment, each group chooses how its 1-to-1s are counted:
- Double counting: both members have to report the same meeting.
- Single counting: one member reports the meeting and both members get credit.
From October 6, all groups will use single counting. When one member reports a 1-to-1, both members get credit. Below is what the settings look like on the Group Settings screen:
What this means for members
- Only one of you needs to report the meeting.
- Both of you get credit.
- The other member gets a notification when the 1-to-1 is reported.
We suggest agreeing at the end of each meeting on who will log it.
What this means for group managers
The "1-to-1 counting method" option will no longer appear on the Group Settings page. You don't need to do anything, because every group will switch automatically.
If your group has been using double counting, you will automatically migrated to this single counting method and there will be no impact to your data. We will take care of finding and removing duplicates.
Why we're making this change
A 1-to-1 is one meeting between two people, so it should only need one report. Single counting means fewer missed entries and more accurate group reports. It also means less time spent on paperwork and more time spent building relationships.
