About Prairie Roots Health
I am a Family Nurse Practitioner and I’ve stepped outside the broken traditional healthcare system to build something better. I operate a Direct Primary Care (DPC) clinic, fundamentally changing how families experience medicine.
Think about your last doctor’s appointment. You probably waited weeks to get in, sat in a crowded waiting room, and then got seven rushed minutes with a provider who spent more time looking at a screen than at you. That isn't healthcare; that is a billing factory dictated by insurance companies.
Healthcare can be better. In my DPC clinic, there is no insurance dictating care. Instead, my patients pay a simple, flat, affordable monthly membership fee. What does that buy? As much time as needed, direct access to me, and someone who truly knows you and personalizes your needs and doesn't just plug you into an algorithm.
Through professional and personal experience my practice focuses heavily on holistic, preventative care, wellness, and patient education, all while meeting the day to day needs that come up. Because I’m not bound by insurance quotas, my appointments aren't seven minutes long; they are thirty to ninety minutes. My patients have my direct phone number. If they have a question, they text or call me directly. If they are sick, they get a same-day or next-day appointments. Lastly, when completing labs through the clinic we can get labs at wholesale cost often 10x cheaper than the hospitals.
My mission is to be the "family doc" that these last 2 generations have missed out on. Someone who knows you, can take care of all your general needs, and be an open mind to those who may be sick of the conventional system or has lost their trust of doctors.
